Belle Reve is proud to announce our 4th annual drag show extravaganza!
We are returning to our favorite neighborhood venue, Cafe Istanbul in the Healing Center, for another amazing performance from some of the best drag queens in New Orleans. Please join us for this party with a purpose… raising money for the homeless adults and families that are served at Belle Reve New Orleans.
Opening its doors in 1993, the mission of Belle Reve New Orleans is to provide permanent and transitional housing along with full support services to adults and families living with AIDS or HIV-related infections. Concern for quality of life and equal availability of services are the founding principles of the agency. Therefore, service delivery will not be influenced by race, gender, religion, age, or sexual orientation.
Under the Executive Directorship of Vicki Weeks, Belle Reve’s staff has years of experience in advocacy, AIDS activism, direct service/personal care, social services, fundraising, nonprofit management and more.
Our diverse staff includes licensed clinical social workers, administrators, fundraisers, and direct care providers.
Our board members represent a wide range of talent, interests and ties to the HIV/AIDS field, including professors, epidemiologists, law professionals, community activists, an Infectious Disease doctor, a pharmacist, a pastoral counselor and other professions as well.
Belle Reve is a nonprofit organization with 501(c)3 status, and, as such, receives funding from federal grants, foundation grants, residents’ rent monies, donations and from fundraising. Belle Reve is grateful to all of its community sponsors, including many local businesses and nonprofits.
